The Pacers will be hoping to push further this year as star Paul George is fully fit after a horrific leg break.
The Pacers traded their number 20 pick for Thaddeus Young. This left them with just the number 50 pick where they selected forward Georges Niang out of Iowa State University.
Niang shoots well from the free throw line for a big man shooting over 81%. He averaged over 20 points per game and over six rebounds in his last year of college.
The Pacers had an aggressive free agency this year and picked up Al Jefferson on a three year deal worth $30 million. He averaged 12 points and 6.4 assists last year in 47 games.
Adding Jeff Teague to their roster makes their guard positions look 100 times better than before this offseason. They moved Hill and added all-star and all round player Teague in a major upgrade.
Watch out for – Myles Turner – elite defender.
If the Pacers stick together and stay healthy they can push again. They lack that something that the Cavs or the Warriors have but an upset isn’t out of the question.
