Charlotte’s roster is impressive and it comes with quite a shock that they are ranked this low down.
Loosing Lin to the Nets will hurt but he was never going to get a starting birth over Kemba Walker whom has a good case to be an All-Star in the near future. He is an aggressive scorer and an even more aggressive defender.
Individually the Hornets have scorers all over the field. In Kaminsky, Kidd-Gilchrist and Lamb the Nets have scoring ability from everywhere.
Hornets’ go to scorer will be Nic Batum who signed a five year contract worth $120,000,000. He best be their go to guy if he is on that money.
Hornets traded their 2016 first round draft pick for Marco Belinelli from the Kings whom would go on to select Malachi Richardson out of Syracuse. A smart draft day trade sees the Hornets add a greater outside scoring threat, the Italian shoots over 37% from three.
Watch out for: Frank Kaminsky – inside scorer.
A surprisingly low power ranking for a talented roster may make the Hornets one of the great dark horses of the NBA 2016-17 season.
