30 in 30 – 76ers

Philadelphia 76ers

I really feel for the 76ers fans and franchise. There is so much untapped potential there but they just don’t know how to tap it.

Their draft was easy: select Ben Simmons. Done.

Their next step isn’t so easy. Don’t let him flop.

Outside of the lottery picks the 76ers luckily landed some good scorers; guards/small forwards Timothe Luwawu and Furkan Korkmaz were taken late in the first round.

Nerlens Noel hasn’t set the league on fire, neither did Jahlil Okafor in his rookie year. Reports suggest that the 76ers are still looking to move one of their big men.

Adding Jerryd Bayless to their roster whilst moving some deadwood was the 76ers biggest move of free agency. It leaves them with cap space for next years busy free agency.

If Embiid can stay fit this year and Noel breaks through this year then Philadelphia are already 10x better than last year.

Watch out for: Dario Saric – aggressive scorer.

Their rebuilding project has been under progress for the past three or four years now and it is about time they stopped with the ‘Trust the Process’ plea and started winning some games.
