Only 41 days stands between now and the start of the NBA season.
For the next 30 days there will be a new post about each NBA team containing their strengths, weaknesses, draft analysis and more.
Each team will be analysed in under 200 words and they will be ranked from predicting the worst record to the best.
After some poor trade negotiations with the Boston Celtics the Nets were left with no first round draft pick. Their pick was the Celtics who would take Jaylen Brown.
After trading up to the pick number 42 Nets selected versatile guard Isaiah Whitehead.
By far their best off season signing was Jeremy Jin to a multi-year contract. The point guard, who was a serious contender for sixth man of the year, has finally got that big contract he has always been toying with.
Brooklyn also scrapped Jarrett Jack’s big contracts who would go on to tweet this:
as reports emerged of his replacement.
Nets really lack a go to scorer though. Centre, Brook Lopez averaged 20.6 points per game but beyond him where will the scoring come from. Lin averaged around 11 points per game and former number one draft pick Anthony Bennett averages just a career 4.2 points.
Watch out for: Bojan Bogdanovic – perimeter threat.
Nets won’t have much to cheer about this year or anytime soon – they do not have control of their first round draft pick until 2019 – and I’m predicting that they fall to the worse record in the NBA.
